Professor Christakis is the Sterling Professor of Social and Natural Science, Internal Medicine & Biomedical Engineering at Yale. He has been recognised as one of the top 100 most influential people by TIME and regarded as a top global thinker by Foreign Policy magazine. Professor Christakis's current research is mainly focused on the rules governing how social networks form and the social and biological implications of how they operate to influence thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
