Hospitals across Europe are under renewed pressure as a rising number of Covid-19 patients take up limited bed space and medical staff become exhausted. The number of cases has been increasing again in Europe as winter approaches, rising from a reduction in infections and deaths from March to April 2020. The average number of cases reported during the week ending November 10 was part of a wave that started in late October. The Reuters Covid-19 Global Tracker also projected that most European countries were nearing a new peak number of infections.
