Federal update on COVID-19 modelling data – January 15, 2021

On Parliament Hill, Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer, and Dr. Howard Njoo, the deputy chief public health officer, hold a technical briefing to discuss the most recent federal modelling data concerning the possible impact of COVID-19 in Canada.
They are joined by Public Services and Procurement Minister Anita Anand, who announces that Pfizer has indicated it will temporarily reduce deliveries of its COVID-19 vaccine to Canada, with deliveries expected to catch up by the end of March 2021. The reduction is due to Pfizer's efforts to expand production capacity at its European manufacturing facility.
