Coronavirus outbreak: New Brunswick to halt entrance of temporary foreign workers | FULL

During a COVID-19 update Tuesday, New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs announced an update to the provinces emergency order which is in place to help fight the spread of COVID-19, the province would be halting the entrance of any temporary foreign workers, this would not impact the status of temporary foreign workers already in New Brunswick.

The move comes as the province marked its 10th consecutive day without a new case of COVID-19 and, 114 of 118 cases have recovered, marking a 98 per cent recovery rate. However, health officials were quick to say they are far from declaring “mission accomplished.”

Higgs and chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell reminded New Brunswickers to continue to follow public health rules after the first weekend of relaxed restrictions in the province.
